U.S. MISC. ITEMS:

UT-108.   LEWIS GUN DOCUMENT PACKAGE - Set includes an original 2 page letter dated May 13,1931

(not too long before he passed over) handwritten in ink & signed by Col. ISAAC NEWTON LEWIS (1858 - 1931) 

on his own stationary from his Montclair, NJ. home. It is written to a Mr. Schulman telling him some historical 

points of interest and facts about the Col's. Lewis Gun's use in WW1. He also included with his letter to Mr. 

Schulman a fold open (8 1/2" x 21") printed Signal Corps illustration of the .30-06 U.S. Lewis gun with his 

handwritten notation of its use by U.S. Troops on it's margin. Additionally Col. Lewis included with his letter a 

photo (5" x 7") of his ground gun mounted on a wheeled French Cygnet mobile field carriage with tractor seat. 

His hand written notations are also on the back of this photo. These Documents are in mint condition, however, 

the photo has been folded once (probably to get it into the letters envelope). This would be a great Document Set 

to display with your Lewis Gun collection ! Authenticity guaranteed by a Certificate from the New England
